French Navy 1st Class General Commissar's White-topped Visor Cap
This is a French Navy 1st class general commissar's visor cap from the Cold War era (1947-1991). The hat features an embroidered naval officer's cap badge on the front. Below the badge is a gold double corded chinstrap fastened to the front by a set of gold naval officer buttons. The hat also has an embroidered cap band similar to that of flag rank officer's. The crown of the hat is white, indicating that this hat was worn during the summer. On the inside is a Herbert manufacturer's label.
