Vichy French Navy Rear Admiral's Visor Cap named to Maurice Lafargue

This is a Vichy French Navy rear admiral's visor cap from the World War II era (1939-1945). The hat features a gold embroidered admiral's cap badge on the front. Below the badge is a double corded gold chinstrap attached to the front by a set gold buttons embossed with the flag officer's insignia. The cap band is decorated with rear admiral rank embroidery and two stars.1 On the inside is a manufacturer's label for G. Girard. The cap is named to Rear Admiral Maurice Lafargue.
