French Embroidered Kepi of Inspector General of the Army Postal Service

This is a 1980s kepi worn by an inspector general of the Army Postal Service. The modern construction comprises of a madder red turban with a large black cap band embroidered with the unique oak leaf design interlaced with laurel leaves. This kepi is similar to the old Army general’s kepi, which was reformed in the 1980s to differentiate from the “other services.”
