U.S. Army Cavalry Visor Cap
This is U.S. Army cavalry soldier’s visor cap dating to the latter part of the 19th century. Manufactured by Jacob Reed’s Sons in Philadelphia, the cap has a black wool top with red piping and black mohair cap band. The visor is shortened and trimmed in mohair. Featured on the front are cavalry crossed sabers.
