German Army M-16 Reissued Helmet, WWII

This is a World War I era (1914-1918) German Model 1916 helmet that was reissued again in World War II (1939-1945).  It has vent lugs on either side with a silver Heer decal on the left side.  The inside liner of the helmet has been replaced from the M-16 type to the M-31 type for its reinstatement into service.1  The newer metal liner band was manufactured in 1937.  The M-16 chinstrap lugs are still intact, although they would not have been used as the M-31 liner was already fitted with chinstrap connections.
