Prussian 2nd Dragoon Regiment Officer's Field Visor Cap
This is a Prussian dragoon cavalry officer's visor cap. The top part of the cap is the standard field-gray wool used by Prussia. Both the national red, white, and black cockade and the Prussian black and white cockade are in the officer's style.1 The black band going across the cap and the black piping were specific to a number of Prussian dragoon regiments.2 However, the small dragoon eagle in between the two cockades was specific to the 2nd Dragoon Regiment,3 which was raised from Brandenburg.4
