French 12th Hussars/Chasseurs Regiment NCO's Kepi
This pre-World War II produced kepi belonged to a non-commissioned officer in the 12th Cavalry Regiment of Hussars or Chasseurs a Cheval. Both units wore the same combination of kepi colors: sky blue cap band, madder red turban, and silver chinstrap with plain side buttons. The presence of a single white rank braid around the turban suggests an NCO rank. The interior manufacturer’s label is for Louis Stoudenok.
