This is a German Sturmabteilung (SA) kepi dating to the 1930s. The kepi features a pinkish-red top with a first pattern SA eagle and silver button. The button and top color indicate that this kepi was from the SA Südmark district in Germany.¹ Around the flap, which is sewn to the cap body, and crown of the kepi is silver piping, indicating the wearer was a leader.
