This is a French M-58 tank crew helmet from the Cold War era (1947-1991). It is made from hard plastic and is painted olive drab. The helmet was designed to be worn inside a tank and provide adequate protection from small bumps. The helmet also could be worn with the M-51 NATO helmet shell if needed.
