This German visor belonged to a member of the NS-Reichskriegerbund Kyffhäuser e.V. (National Socialist Reich’s Warrior’s Association). The Kyffhäuserbund was a veteran’s group dating from before the First World War (1914-1918). During the Nazi Third Reich, all veteran’s groups were organized under the Kyffhäuserbund. Adolf Hitler ordered the group disbanded in 1943, with all members and assets transferred to the NSDAP (National Socialist Worker’s Party). After the war and dissolution of the Nazi Party, the Kyffhäuserbund disbanded again. It was reestablished in 1952.
