U.S. Army Dress Blue Junior Medical Officer's Visor
Named to John W. Guerin, M.D., from Cicero, Illinois, this visor hat is a great example of what a Junior Medical Officer wore just prior and during World War II (circa 1940). The hat body is made of dark dress blue wool and has an army screw back eagle on the front. The maroon and white hatband indicate the medical specialty, while the gilt border and chinstrap indicate officer rank.
