U.S. Army 3rd Division M-1 Helmet, WWII
This is an American M-1 steel helmet worn by a member of the United States Army’s 3rd Infantry Division in World War II (1939-1945). Featured on each side is a 3rd Division diagonal blue and white stripe insignia, which was used by the division in the First World War (1914-1918). The helmet is a mid-war production, determined from its swivel chinstrap loops and front seam stainless steel rim.
