German Afrika Korps Panzer Enlisted Garrison Cap

This is a German Afrika Korps garrison cap worn by an enlisted man in World War II (1939-1945). It is made from khaki cotton with a red cotton interior lining. Featured on the front are a machine woven national eagle and tricolor cockade. The pink soutache over the cockade signifies panzer, or tank, units. On the interior the cap is named to “T. Lise” and dates to 1941.
